Four Points Restaurant vs. Shantzii's in Tarpum Bay by: Anonymous
Hi all, Well I visit Eleuthera twice a year. I live in the North Palmetto Point area and I always consider it a special treat to drive further South; stopping in Rock Sound to eat at my favorite restaurant on the Island. However to my surprise, I immediately noticed a complete change in the atmosphere, family staff and food. A little taken aback, I sat and ate lunch anyway. The food was good and the scenic views were still incredible. But I was left still yearning for the real Bahamian cooking of chef Theola and her son, Devaughn - I did not get my big family hug when I left. This always made my family feel so special and at home.
Miraculously, on my way back to Palmetto Point we stopped in at a quaint roadside restaurant named Shantzii's in Tarpum Bay. It advertises for fresh conch salad. As I walked in, I was startled by a familiar voice "Donna!". It was Cleomi. Devaughn ran and hugged me and the kids. We were right back at home. We stayed and ate lobster fritters and caught up for an hour and a half. As usual Theola's cooking was AMAZING!
So if your ever in Tarpum Bay on Queen's Highway visit Shantzii's seafood Restaurant and Sports Bar. It's very quaint, colorful and truly native.

Rock Sound Restaurant On Sandy Beach by: Anonymous
Hello Annie,
Whenever Gerda and I go to Rock Sound, we have lunch at the Four Points restaurant. Why?...
It's simply the most enjoyable eatery in South Eleuthera. The service is very friendly, the food excellent and the chairs are really comfortable.
What we like best - apart from the food - is the beautiful view of the Caribbean sea and the powdery sandy beach with the coconut trees.
I also like the large tiki bar next to the restaurant. It's placed on stilts in the water. Sometimes we eat our lunch out there which gives that extra vacation feeling.
Thanks for your enthusiastic comment about your Eleuthera vacation. I'm sure you'll be back sooner or later ;-)
