This brand new (2006) Eleuthera vacation rental CaresAway is a villa on a gorgeous pink-sand beach. It has been described by a visitor as Heaven on Earth and it certainly is.

My wife and I know this unique and very private ocean-front home well because it is owned by friends of ours. We love it for its spacious, open configuration and casual elegance.

The house is tastefully decorated throughout, and the lush landscaping makes for a delightful setting. Look at all the beautiful coconut trees around the house!

This Eleuthera vacaction rental is fully air-conditoned. It offers three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. And after a long swim or snorkeling tour you will enjoy the outside hot-water shower.

Six complete snorkeling sets for adults and children will allow the whole family to go snorkeling.

First the fantastic great room. This 400 square feet living space has ocean views to three sides. One of the two seating areas is facing the ocean. The other is oriented toward the entertainment center (not visible on the photo above).

This large living room is a comfortable spots for reading, listening to music, watching a movie, or just gazing out at cruise ships passing by on the Atlantic.

Completely equipped kitchen. It has all new appliances - more details below - and a fully equipped laundry room.

Master bedroom - queen size bed - with ocean view. The furniture is island-made and the bathroom has a glass block walk-in shower.

Above is the second queen bedroom. What you don't see on the above photo is the fantastic views of the ocean in front of the bed and the garden view to the left.

The third bedroom opens onto a sun deck overlooking a beautiful garden area. That room has two singles in a bunk configuration and two singles in a trundle bed. Adults and children use the room, depending on the nature of the group.

• Bedroom 3 - Four Twin/ Single, 'Dorm' room with private deck. This room faces a large garden area—very leafy and green—and has its own sun deck. It sleeps four in a bunk and trundle arrangement.

You will especially enjoy the unique beds and giant armoire made by a local craftsman. Quilted cotton comforters and 400-count sheets provide luxurious comfort.

• Bathroom 1 - Toilet, shower. Master bath has large glass block walk-in shower and double sinks.
• Bathroom 2 - Toilet, combination tub/shower serves the other two bedrooms and features a tub-shower combination behind glass doors.
• Bathroom 3 - Toilet. The powder room is centrally located off the foyer, near the great room.
• Shower - Outdoor hot-water shower.

The villa's caretaker is also your rental car provider. He is Israel Johnson (called IJ) at 242.554.5235 cell or 242-335-6283 home. IJ personally meets you at the airport, wherever you fly in, and takes you to the villa.

IJ also brings your car of choice to the airport. Rental rates are $50 for a Chevrolet Lumina, $60 for a Jeep, and $80 for a van—per day. Rentals can be arranged through the owner or with IJ directly. IJ also provides children’s car seats for the younger set.
