Attractive Ten Bay Beach 9 Miles South of Governor's Harbour
If you are looking for a charming spot, Ten Bay Beach will pleasantly surprise you. Particularly
when the tide is low
or when the sea on the Atlantic side is to rough. On mornings this beach is naturally shaded by large casuarina trees. Ten Bay is a great place to have a picnic and a swim. The calm protected bay has a clean sandy bottom and is shallow for a long ways out. This really is a great place to go swimming. Or learn to snorkel here. Snorkeling is good at either end of the bay where it is rocky. Some cliffs overhang the water. But how about lazing in the sun out at sea?

You may be meeting a few people here who are renting one of the homes that you can see - well, just barely - in the background below.

When the tide is high, Ten Bay Beach looks quite different.

You won't have to walk out far, when the water line is much closer to the trees. If it's getting too hot here, you could drive to breezier
Double Bay Beach
only 0.7 miles north on the highway. In other words, once you are back to the highway, turn left and go for 0.7 miles to a paved road on the right with two stone posts. This is the access to Double Bay on the windier, Atlantic side of Eleuthera.p>
