Boater... Vacation Rental Highpoint Is For You!

My wife and I know vacation rental Highpoint quite well. Usually we winter residents meet at Highpoint for Linda's traditional April 1st party.

The main house can be rented between early April and the beginning of January. The home's guest apartment is available January, February and March only.

Highpoint vacation rental is a spacious and reasonably priced waterfront home on the Caribbean side of Eleuthera.

The house is located in a secluded area 5 minutes from Governor's Harbour. Its dock can accommodate boats up to 40 feet.

But...

You don't have to be a boater to enjoy vacation rental Highpoint with its three bedrooms/3baths in 2,500 sq. ft. = 230 sq. meters.

The house sits 40 feet above sea level and commands a beautiful view of the turquoise water from a large terrace, as you can see. The deck is part sun, part shade.

Here are the owners Linda & Dave on the large deck of their island home. They are experienced boaters.

We like this house for its airy and pleasant atmosphere. And the master bedroom... What a view!

It's looking out to the north-west where you will experience those awe-inspiring sunsets. The Caribbean side of Eleuthera - a.k.a. the Exuma sound - is well known for them.

This is Linda's favorite spot... Here you'll be able to observe all kinds of fish as well as many other sea creatures. One of the guests had a porpoise swimming beside her.

From the main road running the length of Eleuthera north to south - the horizontal line on the map - it's only a quarter mile (0.4 km) to vacation rental Highpoint. Notice that there are only five houses nearby?

This teak dining table seats eight. The dining area is part of the 35 foot great room which is glass walled and opens to the huge deck overlooking the sea.

How do you like the living room which is part of the great room? It seats nine persons comfortably.

Local art decorates the walls and the overall impression is one of space.

The open, well equipped kitchen is looking out to the great room.

Very large guest bedroom with one Queen, and en suite bath and an attached screened porch.

Here's the guest apartment's screened porch which is nice for breakfast. It almost feels like being out in the bush.

Called the bonus room, it connects the main house with the guest apartment and is used by house guests as well as apartment guest. Why?...

Oh, I almost forgot... Here's the master bath. Remember, the above master bedroom with a spectacular water view from the king-sized bed?

Now, let's see what's on the water front...

Boat Dock & Swim Deck

This text is for boaters only. Skip it if you are not a boater.

Three pilings support a twelve foot dock attached to the coral. It will accommodate up to a 40 foot boat with a beam of 13 ft. Depth is 11 ft at low water.

Two pilings 16 feet off shore will help to spring your yacht off the inner pilings.

Balara Bay - where vacation rental Highpoint is located - is open to the South West. When the wind is from the South West it might not be prudent to lay alongside...

Protection can be sought in the Lee of nearby Levi island - 700 yds off shore - or in Hatchet Bay, a natural harbor of refuge, situated 15 nautical miles north of Highpoint.

At vacation rental Highpoint there is an all purpose room including the laundry and a small second kitchen between bedrooms 2 and 3.

Washer, dryer, ironing board and iron are in the all purpose room.
